Given the economic situation it is not surprising that bookings in the South West are up. The South West has a lot to offer - vineyards, cider farms, great beaches and resturants. Although you do have to get lucky with the weather, but if you can get a cottage with an open fire the odd bit of rain can be romantic!

The new Museum looks amazing, I will definitely be heading along to Chambers Street to check it out when it opens.

Also a great place to take kids to.

I've always found that vegetarian cookery seems to be more fiddly than non-vegetarian cookery, and your interesting and well-written experience has done nothing to alter that view.

However, the food does sound really good, especially the soup.

[...] 29th April – 1st May is the Exeter Food and Drink Festival, and with the weather the way that it is at the moment, what better time to go and sample a wide variety of foods and drinks and also to watch 4 Michelin star chefs in the cookery theatre. Rob Dawe of Ashburton Cookery School will also be there – I visited the School last year and can testify that the instruction was brilliant and the food tasty! Check out the full blog here.
